PowerUp Chess Program
The PowerUp Chess Program is a FUN 6-week introductory After-School Chess Program designed to help students learn the FUNdamentals of chess including basic piece movement, checkmating patterns, and other foundational principles of the game in a dynamic and engaging environment. Some of the documented benefits of chess instruction are improved critical thinking skills, increased math and verbal test scores, and a myriad of varied life skills. This program is a perfect fit for any student who wants to PowerUp their mind while having FUN and learning the basics of chess!

Tournament Chess Program
The Tournament Chess 6-week After-School Program is designed for students who already have chess experience, including knowledge of how all the pieces move and an understanding of check, checkmate, and stalemate.
In this program, students will:
♟️ Compete in weekly chess tournament games
♟️ Learn advanced checkmating patterns and tactical problem solving
♟️ Explore new opening, middle game, and endgame strategies
♟️ Enhance their overall understanding of chess and competitive play
This program is perfect for students who already know how to play and want to take their game to the next level.
