PowerChess Online Group Classes are designed to help students learn, practice, and grow in chess through fun, structured, small-group instruction. Students will meet weekly with an experienced PowerChess Chess Coach and participate in engaging lessons, tournament-style games, and guided practice through ChessKid.

PowerUp Chess Program

The PowerUp Chess Program is a fun 4-week introductory online chess program designed to help students learn the FUNdamentals of chess, including basic piece movement, checkmating patterns, and other foundational principles of the game in a dynamic and engaging group environment.

This program is a perfect fit for any student who wants to PowerUp their mind while having fun and learning the basics of chess!

Tournament Chess Program

The Tournament Chess 4-week Online Program is designed for students who have chess experience, know how all the pieces move, and understand check, checkmate, and stalemate.

In the Tournament Chess program, students can expect to play in weekly chess tournament games and learn new checkmating patterns, tactical problem solving, opening, middle-game, and endgame ideas that will enhance their chess knowledge and overall game strategy.

This program is geared toward students who know how to play chess and want to take their skills to the next level by practicing against other students.

Elite Chess Program

The Online Elite Program is designed to build upon the success of our Tournament Chess program and is a perfect fit for students eager to elevate their chess skills.

Weekly, one-hour sessions will focus on helping students learn new tactical patterns, middle-game strategies, endgame patterns, openings, and checkmating patterns through structured multimedia lessons and tournament-style games. Students will receive personalized reviews and feedback on in-class games, empowering them to learn from each game and make meaningful progress toward chess mastery.

*The Elite Program is ideal for chess enthusiasts who have completed two PowerChess programs, including one Tournament Chess program, or have a minimum USCF rating of 400. This ensures students are surrounded by peers of similar abilities and creates an environment for growth and success.

How Online Classes Work

PowerChess Online Group Classes will meet via the ChessKid Live Classroom. The PowerChess Instructor will provide the classroom link 30 minutes before the start of each session.

To participate, students must have a reliable WiFi connection and access to ChessKid.com using the username and password provided in the registration email.

Tuition

$99.00 per four-week session, which includes four one-hour PowerChess Online Group Classes.

Refunds are available upon request no later than 14 days before the first day of the session. Thereafter, no refunds or credits will be issued for missed classes or sessions.
