Power Chess Club
In this PowerChess 6-week program for those grades K-6th, students can expect to learn the foundational concepts of the game of chess, tactical patterns, checkmating patterns, opening ideas, and endgame ideas, and play weekly tournament-style chess games. Each class will have a 30-minute lesson on one of these concepts, which will feature group discussion, solving chess puzzles as a class, and watching a short multimedia presentation. Following the lesson, students will play a weekly tournament-style chess game against fellow students to practice the ideas they are learning.
What is included with your student’s registration:

Wednesdays from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
